Painless single sitting RCT

When the nerve of your tooth is diseased or injured and unable to repair itself, the nerve usually dies. The common causes of nerve death are fracture or a deep cavity that exposes the nerve to bacteria, which causes the nerve to die. A root canal is a way to save the tooth if your nerve becomes infected by a cavity or exposed due to fracture. When this procedure becomes necessary, it may take 1-3 appointments to be completed depending on the level of infection and/or complexity of the situation.

Limitation of R.C.T:
  • Excessively Decayed tooth beyond repair.
  • Fractured roots.
  • Deep infection beyond tooth root with cysts around them.
  • Excessively curved roots.
  • Excessively mobile tooth.
  • Restricted mouth opening.
Advantages of R.C.T:
  • In case of deeply carious tooth the only treatment options are removal of tooth or the root canal treatment (RCT). However root canal treatment (RCT) is very conservative procedure which saves the natural tooth.
  • Subsequently root canal treatment (RCT) prevents the bone loss and maintains the stability of the adjacent tooth.
  • Most of the time the pain is related to the pulp tissue only and the procedure is more or less painless.
  • As compared to other teeth replacement procedures after extraction, saving the natural tooth by root canal treatment (RCT) is quite cost effective & better option.
Step 01 A Deep Infection We are proud to say that we have developed a special technique for giving an injection, that your will not feel any type of pain or discomfort, and your fear of dental treatment will completely go. After the tooth is anesthetized, we make a small hole in your tooth. This exposes the root canal and the damaged nerve.
Step 02 Route to reach the pulp of the tooth Without any pain or discomfort, we remove the damaged nerve and enlarge the root canal by carefully cleansing it with precision instruments called files. This process gives us a predictable way to insure that the infected nerve has been completely removed.
Step 03 Removing the Infected/Inflamed Tissue Once the root canal has been cleaned and disinfected, of all damaged nerve, it is filled and sealed to prevent recontamination of the root canal system. The root canal treatment is now complete. However, your tooth still needs to be restored to its normal function and appearance.
Step 04 Filling the Canals The canals are filled with a permanent inert rubber material called gutta-percha cones. This helps to keep the canals free of infection or contamination & fills the dead space
Step 05 Rebuilding the tooth A temporary filling material is placed on top of the gutta-percha to seal the opening. The filling remains until the tooth receives a permanent filling or a crown. A crown, sometimes called a cap is placed over the top of the tooth. It looks like a natural tooth
Step 06 Extra Support In some cases, a post is placed into the root next to the gutta-percha. This gives the crown more support..
Step 07 The Crowning/capping of the root canal treated tooth To prevent the Root canal treated tooth from fracture, an artificial hollow dental crown is constructed & cemented over it.
